I'm sure I caught him smirking when Locke banged on his door asking him whether the numbers were really entered. Okay, maybe all of you know by now, but I think this is a sort of confirmation? That he is trying to play with heads of the losties (especially Locke).
Anyway he seemed resigned to fate now, not minding death (he is a compromised spy after all?). Don't think the Others will trade Walt for him.
