I don't think they are telepathic, I just think I understand why she was so confident he was alive. A few years ago there was a very bad accident involving police officers in our city. The regular programing was interrupted by news coverage showing the accident. It was in my husband's district and in a situation that involved him. They didn't identify them for a while. I kept getting phone calls from friends and family. Some came to my house.
They kept asking do you think it's him? I never for one second thought
it was my husband. They couldn't believe I was so calm. He called me soon after to let me know he was OK. Now, am I telepathic, or was I just foolishly
hoping that it wasn't my husband or just refusing to believe he was dead
and it turned out I was right?
I don't mean to sound so dramatic, I just think this is the case with Rose. She just refused to believe he was dead. Just because she wasn't screaming
at everyone to leave her alone and she just quietly corrected anyone
who referred to Bernard in the past tense doesn't mean there's anything
weird about believing he was alive.
And maybe I am just refusing to believe there is anything sinister about
Rose and Bernard. I just don't like flimsy evidence like Bernard isn't
really a dentist because he likes candy or Cindy must be an Other because
she didn't tuck in her uniform blouse after the crash or something is "up"
with Rose because she didn't believe her husband was dead.
