Why do you find it so strange that Rose knows exactly what day it is?
Lots of people, including Jack, know exactly how many days they have
been on the island.
How do you know she is not "worried about being lost"? Is she supposed
to run around, freaking out until they are rescued? She is just coping
like everyone else. Sun works in her garden, Charlie plays the guitar,
Jack and Kate and others play golf, Kate gives Sawyer a haircut.
They know they are stranded for a while, maybe forever, so they just
have to deal with it and get on.
And why do so many people think it is so weird that she knew all along
that Bernard was alive. I know that it is very rare to portray a couple
that is actually committed to each other. Maybe Rose was just foolishly
hoping he was alive against all odds and just lucked out. Why does
it have to be sinister that she feels such a connection to her husband.
Have we become so cynical in our culture whose divorce rate is over
50% that we can't believe an older couple could have a connection
like that?
