here's what I find interesting... if you assume that these numbers are ATOMIC NUMBERS of elements they do have some relevance to the show...

I don't understand this statement on elemental oxygen. Individual atoms, which is what 8 represents, don't have a defined crystal structure. Oxygen does not exist in a free state except as a diatomic molecule, that is 2 atoms bound together. Oxygen couldn't have a true crystalline structure unless you froze it to a solid and I'm not sure that's even possible since it has to be chilled very far below zero to even liquefy it. I certainly would never exist as a liquid or solid in "real life." Of course, that doesn't change its atomic number so if these are references to elements, the state in which they exist must not matter.
