Kate's crappy homecoming

How sad that no one showed up for Kate. I thought her "dad" Sergeant Major Sam Austen was going to show up at the last minute. She has no one.

I was wondering if Locke had been one of the Oceanic 6, if Helen would have showed up for him. I bet she would have. Guess we'll never know since he'll never leave.

you know, i really cannot stand Kate. at all.

however, seeing her there, standing with poor little Aaron... i got all teary eyed. that was truly sad.

i felt very badly for her, but who was she expecting to see?

her mom is sick
her dad is dead
and didn't her stepdad tell her he couldn't see her anymore? i can't remember that far back...

I was kind of thinking, where is her step-dad? I mean if you had differences with someone and then they survived a plane crash, wouldn't you forgive and forget because of the trauma they've been through? It could be because her step-dad is in the military, maybe he wanted to distance himself?

Yeah, the last time they saw each other (and isn't that where she/we learn that he's really not her biological father?) they know they will not see each other again.

I like Kate and did get a teary eyed when no one was there to welcome her back home but I was also suprised that the Fed's were not waiting there for her with cuffs.. I was hoping Sam Austin would be there but Nope.. Very sad moment for her and Sayid until they told him someone who was not on the family list was there to see him..

There was a cop car waiting with Nadia outside of the airport. I'm thinking only the family was allowed to see them first. I bet that cop car was for Kate. Check out the pic.

I really thought Kate's dad was going to show up. (The one from the army) I know he said he couldn't see her anymore, but he obviously cared for her very much.

But, I did like how Kate looked down at Aaron when she didn't see anyone, basically realizing that Aaron is her family now.

OOPS, that pic was really small of the cop car, here's a better one.

I noticed it.. I was wondering if it was an escort for Nadia to get into the military base to see Sayid since I think she was standing near it when he came out.. Could have been for Kate too who knows at this point!
