Ana-Lucia Cortez

Ana-Lucia Cortez was an ex-police officer who sat in the tail section of Flight 815 when it crashed. She took a leadership role in the group and led her party across the Island, reuniting them with the rest of the passengers. Ana was known to be very emotionally cold and her background in policing helped her with her leadership role. Ana-Lucia survived on the Island for 65 days before being shot and killed by Michael.

Hurley had the best scenes this episode. It was funny that of all places he would go and buy food, he went to his old place.

Oh yeah, I forgot! It was that bag he was holding when he came home to his surprise birthday party, right? I freaked out in that scene because I thought the whispers of the island had followed him home.

LOL; Hurley: "I've got a Jesus and I'm not afraid to use it!" Also, didn't all the people whispering at the party sound just like the island "whispers"? I think they did that on purpose.

at first when i saw the sand on the floor and the coconut, i thought someone (a ghost or something) had popped back to visit hurley...a la charlie. when i heard the whispers i was SURE. the surprise party surprised me as much as it did hurley.

i loved how sayid says "interesting choice of theme"
and hurley says "yah, my mom...she doesn't get it."

Yes! The same way they changed Ben's voice in the veterinarian's office and Kate's voice in the shower so we wouldn't know who it was until we saw their faces. Tricksy! One thing I will say about Hurley's birthday party, a coconut has never been so terrifying to me!

I think the whispers are the same ones from the island. That place is huge. How would he heard whispers from the front door to the back yard door? Didn't the whispers continue until he opened the door. The people at the party would of been quiet by then or he would have heard talking and not whispering. I believe that is when he starts to lose it.

I never noticed the sand on the floor, and I've seen that episode twice now. Good eyes!

echoes from the amount of people at the party maybe? His mother's house , while big, I'm sure is very echoey.

in the pic you can tell it's gold color-painted and not solid gold, like Hurley says... or am I just a disbeliever?
