Claire Littleton is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. She is Jack Shephard's half-sister, although neither of them knows this. She is the mother of Aaron Littleton who was born on the Island soon after the crash, and has done her best to raise Aaron. During her time on the Island, she entered a relationship with fellow survivor, Charlie Pace.

I think the Spacelike Factors is meant with the time being different. i remember i heard that if you fly around the earth time will move slower. so if you been there long enough and come down again your son could be older that yourself :O
Theoreticaly, yes. Check out "time dilation" at wikipedia, seach "twin paradox" as well. Basically it says the the speed of light is the ultimate speed, nothing can ever go faster than that, no matter what. Even if you are travelling at (or very near) the speed of light and you shoot a laser (that moves at the speed of light) the speed of the laser will not be faster than the speed light. Here is the opposite situation, for comprehension purposes. Say you are riding in the back of a pickup at 50 mph, you throw a baseball (in the direction of motion) at 35 mph. The baseball is now moving at 85 mph. This concept of velocity composition does not apply to the speed of light.
I believe this information is more pertinent to the swan than the orchid, although we don't know much about the orchid yet. I'm hoping Daniel is going to gives us a physics lesson on what the orchid does.

How come a laser would travel slower than the speed of light? A laser is light, so wouldn't it travel at the same speed? Science was never my strongest subject. I'm confused. 'Splain me some science, IAM.

I think it's pretty obvious that the Orchid station is designated to move through time, not move physically. As you can see in the trial take of the Orchid orientation film (
) that it's disguised as a greenhouse, and Ben told Locke to go under the Greenhouse where it really is. Also, the rabbit is obviously moved through time to 'negative 20' which I guess has something to do with moving it forward/backward twenty minutes or something. Anyways, it's pretty clear to me that the Island will be moving through time.

Hmm, I was watching the video in georgiaknight33's post,
Spoiler for spoiler:
and I noticed a flash. Thought it was odd, so I watched the video a second time. I saw it again, but this time I saw a person, for the past 15 minutes I have been trying to pause at just the right moment and got it. Not sure what this is, maybe it's already been found, but thought I would share.
