Sayid Hassan Jarrah
Sayid Hassan Jarrah is a middle-section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815. A courageous man and a competent leader, Sayid maintains a conservative manner which reflects both strength and spirituality, and tries to atone for the demons in his past. Sayid spent a lot of his adult life search for his childhood-love, Nadia, hoping she is alive. Sayid's past as a torturer constantly plagues him. Through his skills and leadership, he plays a key role in the survival of his group, and exploring the Island's secrets.

I kind of wish we didn't see the court scene until after we saw Kate's loneliness at the homecoming in Hawaii. It would have made the moment more emotional, tense, sad, I don't know.

I guess I was busy being impressed with Hurley's gesture and his parents' friendliness to Sayyid

Flanuese - where's my tin-foil hat - quit reading my mind!!! LOL! Kate has always bothered me. I loved that Hurley introduced his parents and Sayid, but I was shocked that Hurley didn't introduce visitorless Kate to his parents, as well. In fact- why didn't the O4 think "Hey, there's Kate and Aaron standing alone. Why don't I introduce her to MY family so she doesn't feel so awkward standing there alone?"

don't forget that when we see flash forwards and flashbacks, we only see a snippet and then the scene cuts off...i think that the show's writers do that on purpose so that we think things have gone a certain way. i have a teeny little spoiler with regard to this point...
with regards to this and kate's crappy homecoming, we don't really know that no one showed up. we are just left with the shot of her face staring out at nothing...

I wonder if with the extended interview session that is going to happen (for those who haven't heard, May 15th's episode (part 1), will be shown again on May 29th before parts 2,3), anyway - I wonder if she is staring at someone in the crowd..... someone like Sawyer's baby's mama, or her dad in the back of this MILITARY BASE (since he is in the military).........
