Richard, the others, children

What is Richard doing with the "others" people? Is he still on Ben's side? What happened to those kidnapped children, from way back when? What is richard's deal? Why was he the same age when Locke was a child? How does this all play in to what's going on right now?

I feel like everyone has forgotten that the children and some adults came to "watch" jack in the cage... what happened there?

i think they were supposed to be waiting at the temple. but i also think richard got tired of waiting and now he is taking matters into his own hands.

Yes he is still with the others. Ben sent all of them to the temple.

Do we know where the Temple is? Could it be by (or is it?) the Orchid station?

I think that Richard is somehow "timeless" b/c Ben says to him in season 3's episode "The Man Behind the Curtain" when it's Ben's birthday, "You remember birthdays, don't you, Richard?" I chalk it up to being part of the island's regenerative properties. Abbadon seems to have the same qualities. Or maybe Richard is a dead/ghost-type person like Daddy Shepherd.

I have also been wondering what happened to all the kids they took from shortly after the crash. I can't believe that they haven't addressed that. (or did I miss it somewhere along the way?)

I think the Temple and the Orchid are two different places. That is why we see Richard and the others in the jungle. They were there waiting and they got a signal from Ben that he needs help at the Orchid and they are on their way. Remember Ben says he always has a plan.

I agree. The Temple and the Orchid have two different symbols assigned to them. They must be two different places.

Neat! See, I assumed that Ben was signaling the Orchid, but I bet you're right that he was signaling Richard, etc. at the Temple. Which would then also explain why he wasn't worried that the Keamy Krew wouldn't intercept the message. So when he said to Locke, "Who do you think", it was an answerable question. That is, assuming that you're right. I have a tendency to believe everything I hear/read.

i belive that this 2 places are not the same, but it was great to see kate and sayid with the others, hurley with ben and locke, jack with sawyer and lapidus, sun and aaron on the boat, im looking forward to see them together... im afraid tha all the people on the freighter will blow up excpet for sun and aaron the will jump or somethinf like that xD

in this ep, faraday runs over to his notebook and determines, the chopper guys are headed for the orchid. i was looking at screencaps of that scene and when he flips the notebook it stops on another page briefly that talks about an eddington/finklestien equation and a light cone. i looked that up on wikipedia and lets just say the information is a bit beyond my reach. HOWEVER, it has to do with eintein and the theory of relativity and black holes.

WHAT IF the orchid station is the virtual "box" that ben was talking about previously with john locke. what if there is a black hole in the centre of the island?

read up on general relativity theory by einstein and the properties they describe mirror a lot of stuff we have seen on Lost already.

They sure do! I just finished watching the documentary "The Elegant Universe" that talks about string theory and Einstein, and boy, is there a connection!
