What exactly are those speculations about Hurley's dad on Lostpedia? I think I missed them- All I saw was a few unanswered questions under David Reyes entry..

Right under "unanswered questions" it says: "For fan theories about these unanswered questions, see: David Reyes/Theories" which is highlighted. As for what they are I think they're just random theories people have written since season 2.

It's a mystery to me how I missed that link, like you said, right under the U.Q.

The first one mentioned is from a podcast I think and if that's correct that was connection and sub-conscious meaning intended by the producers. But the rest, I agree with you, is too far stretched. Amusing but senseless stuff (Especially the David Reyes- Libby speculation)

Maybe the thing with the odometer was done by Charlie trying to get Hurley attention and when Hurley is running Charlie appears to him and lets him know it was him. Which might just freak Hurley out more and goes back and gets in the cars and takes off stops at the store where he has another sighting of Charlie which we know what happens from there.

yellow ??? red ???? I thought the car was orange!!!

Or orangie red (but more orange than red) but not yellow .

Can anyone go back to any previous episodes with the car in and check if it shows the odometer reading? I'll guess if it's shown it's actually greater than it is now.

*When Hurley's car broke down they showed the speedometer (in km/h) go from 16 to 15 to 8 to 4. The dashboard also displayed a temperature of 23 degrees Celsius and 42 km on the odometer. ("Exodus, Part 2")

*The last digit on the odometer when Claire crashed her car was 8 ("Par Avion").

(I put these pictures in the opposite way - lol! The first on is Claire's car. The last ones are of Hurley's car.)

Ha!! I should watch every episode in slow motion, I seem to miss out on a lot of details!
Anyway, everybody on the island seem to have their parents tangled up with each other, the DI, or the island itself. It won't be a surprise to find out that there's a lot that Hurley's father's hiding, and I don't think his story's just about money...
