 Sun-Hwa Kwon
Sun-Hwa Kwon (née Paik ?) (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Baek Seon-hwa, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Paek So(n'hwa) is one of the middle section survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. She was traveling on the plane with her husband, Jin-Soo Kwon. Their marriage has been very unstable, on and off the island, mainly due to Jin's controlling and violent nature and also because of Sun's many secrets that she will go to great lengths to protect even if it involves hurting others e.g. the maid in "The Glass Ballerina". She is currently pregnant with Jin's child, and according to Juliet the pregnancy will kill her in two months like every other pregnant woman who conceived on the island.

She said that she was still in the hospital at that point.
Did it seem to any of you like maybe Kate could hear what Claire's mother was saying to Jack? Her facial expression seemed to show shock but that could just be her face. I don't know. Such a good scene. And when Jack first hears Claire's name his face shows so much struggle and pain. It was classic. Too bad they won't revisit that time line next episode. We probably won't know the outcome of how he reacts or what he and Kate say to each other until next season. |

I also got the feeling that Kate could hear what Jack was told.. The look on her face when Jack and Kate locked eyes as Claires mom was walking out. That and the look on Kate's face when she came over to Aaron.. I think Kate knows

I wondered the same thing! And why Jack didn't call Kate over to meet Claire's mother? Did he later tell Kate that he and Claire are related? Does Kate know that Jack and Aaron are related when Jack yells at Kate about Aaron, "You're not even related!"?? 'Cause if she did know that would make the moment sting even more.

I thought it was great!! I like that better than him finding out from some reporter.. plus we now know Claires mom is out of the coma. Hence the different time line theory.

Because Jack is pretending that everyone on the plane died except for the famous 6, I guess he had to play it off like Claire was just another face in the crowd. If he'd called Kate over it may have been too obvious.
I do think that he tells Kate at some point because his comment about Kate not being related to Aaron did seem very pointed. Their relationship is very complicated, I'm not at all surprised that they couldn't make it work. If he'd said that to me about my son, his butt would be out the door in an instant. |
