Sun's Revenge

Sun has a sweet exterior and a hard center for sure. What are your thoughts on this? Also, another argument between Paik's employees and himself. (so glad they subtitled this time.

I'd think they were talking who had buy shares of the company and he wanted them to find out but he got his answer faster than he expect and from one he least expected.

right, he was like, how did this happen? and they said, whoever did it, used five different banks.

and then she revealed that she used the oceanic settlement to buy a controlling share in his company.

why would she do that, tho. she must really hate him to hang around and make him suffer. she couldve taken the money and disappeared and never seen him again.

Another one with daddy's issues. I expected with as much time as Jin and Sun were on the island he had told her a lot more about her father than she had already knew. She sure did seems pretty happy to see her parents but i guess once she found out she was getting a windfall of money from Oceanic she decide this was going to be how she'd get her revenge without having to confront her father until she was ready to do so.

She set up a nice little 'chess game'. She hated Jin before the crash - but then came to realize that he had become a 'bad' husband to try to give her a good life and appease her father. She blames her father for them being on the plane - remember they were running away to the U.S. to start a new life and get away from her father...

I didn't read from the scene that she seemed happy to see her parents. Her mouth was drawn closed most of the time and her face was pretty expressionless - or at least "forced". Until the scene with her father, I thought it was mostly b/c she was upset that Jin wasn't with her or that she was anxious to tell them about the baby. (Think too about how she's going to explain how could she be pregnant with his baby... especially if "he never made it off the plane")

well, she could always say that she got pregnant just before, because remember there was the question of whose baby it was and there was a possibility it could have been the other guy she slept with.

i noticed during the airport scene, she looked conflicted and upset, and she definitely moved to hug her mother and exclude her father from the hug.

she was happy to see her mom, but obviously not her father.

the other person she blames for Jin's 'death'? Herself.

(cause we don't know for sure Jin is dead yet... hey! he could have decided to stay on the island. you don't know!

What a great moment for Sun. The timid father's daughter has grown up and really learned to take charge. I was so proud of her. She has really come a long way.

That's how I felt too.. Sun put her Father in his place in that scene.. It was great!
