Buddy Holly song - 1957.

I previously read that Locke was born in 1956. Then a few days ago I read that the Buddy Holly song that his mother was playing was released in 1957. I did not think that significant - I do not recall the evidence pointing to 1956, or how specific it is.

So is there solid evidence for 1956 as the year Locke was born? If so, could it be that Locke's mother got the 1957 record from a time traveller - maybe Locke's father?

That's super weird about the 1956 and 1957 dates, good catch! I'm sure the writers did not make a mistake and the song is susposed to have hidden meaning and they wanted some genious like yourself to catch the difference in years. The writers never mess up

i don't know if it was talked about in another thread, but last night they played the reruns of the last couple of weeks with the captions on the bottom...
and it said that both ben and locke had mothers named EMILY. significant?

They also pointed out that both were born premature.. Ben was born at 6 months and Locke at 7months.. Or maybe I have them flipped around..

I thought that was also worth bring up!

And Buddy Holly died in a plane crash.

I was wondering, in that episode, did they ever show the boyfriend (father) of Locke? I can't remember if they showed him or not. I know young Emily argued with her mom about that boy not being good enough, or something like that. And then she was afraid of raising him, the premature but fighting superbaby John, and so he was given up for adoption, but they never said anything about the Father. Right? or maybe i'm wrong, anyone know??? But isn't his father Anthony Cooper? i'm so confused!!
