Aaron is right where he is supposed to be.

Christian in the cabin says Aaron is right where he is supposed to be. Because Aaron must be in a position to leave the island. Why? Because Aaron must not be raised by "an Other".

Maybe there have been posts on this before. Doesn't "raised by another" strike anyone as unusual phrasing? Why would anyone say that rather than "raised by anyone else" or "raised by someone other than you". Knowing what we do now, doesn't it make more sense if the psychic said "an Other"?

Is this possible, or am I just reaching way to far?

Was Sawyer headed back to the beach with the baby? I don't think he'd give up on Claire but he can't really give the baby to Miles while he goes and looks for her and it makes no sense to take Aaron out into the jungle looking for her.

What if "and i'm sorry if this somewhere else" the phyc. that told Claire about the couple in L.A. was Jack and Kate,he just seen deeper into the future?They really are the ones to help raise Aaron til he can return to the island to become what ever it needs him for the island didn't take Ben or Locke at that young of age,so thats why he get off with the others....

Wow, great find. Never thought of pulling that word apart and looking at it that way.

There are been a few characters who say they are "right where they are supposed to be" Ben has said it while held up by John, Miles while tied up by John. It's one of those phrases that gets recycled like "dont tell me what I can do!" Funny how they do that.

The line is; "don't tell me what I can't do."

Good point about the psychic though, who knows how far into the future (or which future) he saw into...

The title of the episode where Claire sees the psychic is called "Riased by Another" where he says this:

MALKIN: It is crucial that you, yourself, raise this child.
CLAIRE: You mean with Thomas? Is he..
MALKIN: The father of this child will play no part in it's life, nor yours.
CLAIRE: So what exactly are you saying?
MALKIN: This child parented by anyone else, anyone other than you -- danger surrounds this baby. . .
CLAIRE: Danger?
MALKIN: Your nature, your spirit, your goodness, must be an influence in the development of this child.

but he wasnt he paid to tell her that so that she would get on the plane and so on?

CLAIRE: You spent the last 4 months telling me I have to raise the baby myself. Now you're giving me money and saying I don't have to?

MALKIN: I found a couple in Los Angeles who are very eager to adopt. The baby will be safe in their care. Now, I've foreseen. . .
CLAIRE: Heh, Foreseen? I don't even know why I'm here. I'm sorry.
MALKIN: I know this sounds ridiculous, Claire. All this psychic business, and I appreciate that you must think I'm a raving madman. But this is what must happen.
CLAIRE: So you're giving me 6000 dollars to give my baby to a couple of strangers in Los Angeles?

As far as him forseeing Kate and Jack as the perfect parents, we recently found out that Charlie disagrees when he told Hugo to give jack the message that he isnt supposed to raise him- though it didnt say not supposed to raise Aaron- i'm simply speculating

Maybe Jack is not suppose to raise Aaron. Maybe Sawyer was the chosen one to raise Aaron.

I always noticed that one like "And they're not strangers Claire, they're good people." Like right after hearing it in that episode it caught my attention... Malkin knew that Jack and Kate would raise the baby and Jack is no "Stranger" to Claire as they are really related!
