Dr. Jack Shephard

Dr. Jack Shephard is often seen as the main character of the series. He is a spinal surgeon and the de facto leader of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jack has control issues and trouble dealing with situations that he cannot fix. However, this attitude of solving problems through reason has given him the ability to function well in crisis. Sometimes, if he feels guilt or pain over a situation he can't fix himself, he will do anything he can to fix it, even borderlining on obsessive. Jack is, most of the time, in control of his life, emotions and situation he is in and is able to keep a cool head in tense situations. Jack is also the half brother of Claire Littleton, although neither of them is aware of this. Jack has formed very strong bonds with Kate and Juliet while he has been on the Island.

Default Motherless
I was just thinking about a parallel between Ben and Locke...the lack of a mother figure. Bens mother dies, Johns basically deserts him. As the events are seeming to transpire, Aaron will also be motherless (at least biologically speaking)...could this be a prerequisite of sorts to being a leading island man. Is the island their true "mother"? Does this mean Aaron will likely continue on the Ben/Locke legacy? Just random thoughts here...

your thoughts may be random, but they make a lot of sense...

also, they kinda all have father issues as well.

ben hated his dad
locke hated his dad
and i'm sure aaron will grow up hating his when he finds out his dad walked out on his pregnant mom.

The others interest in Walt seems to mirror Richards interest in Locke.

Makes good sense. (is lockes Mom dead?..can't remember...) Do we know that Claire isn't dead now? Christian looks as real as she does, and we know he is dead. She seemed awfully "happy" in a really serene, strange way.
I am hoping she isn't.... but hanging out in Jacobs cabin with her dead daddy is pretty creepy.... it doesn't seem real.

A lot like she was when Ethan was drugging her. Something is clearly wrong with her or she would be totally freaked out that Aaron isn't with her.

Claire could be like Charlie "dead but here I am" sort of way. Her behavior was sort of weird. And why are they in that dark creepy cabin?!
