Abbadon

I think we thought all wrong about Abbadon. Maybe his name was meant to lead us off. It seems as if he wants Locke on the Island. I think he is working with the Island Natives

His name may not be misleading, maybe we just focused on the wrong part. Abaddon has to do with lost souls. Locke and Hurley both are lost souls in a way. Abaddon could be a positive force in helping them find their place, presumably the island. It was kind of foreboding when Abaddon parks lock at the top of the staircase though...would've given me the willies if I was John...

i'm confused.

abbadon is in the past with locke telling him to go on his walkabout...as if he knows locke will end up on the island.

then he is creeping up on hurley in the mental hospital asking if "they are still alive"

then he's debriefing naomi and the freighter four...

who is he and who does he work for???

My guess, he's worked for Widmore all along.

He knew of Locke being special, but didn't realize Ben would end up with control of the island.

Richard, who knew of Locke probably let Charles know of Locke at some point, but "the dharma initiative couldn't co-exist with the islands original inhabitants" (as said by Ben) (and one of those people including Richard)...

It seemed that there was a battle for John, perhaps a battle of which side will he join, "good" vs "bad". Abbadon vs Richard.

I think he only pushed him to go because he can maybe use him at a later point? He did say when they run into each other again he would owe him?I think he knew he was going to be on the island and they would meet again and he could say,do this for me because if it wasn't for me,you wouldn't even be on the island???

I don't really feel like going back and watching the episode in which we find out how Locke got paralyzed, so can anyone confirm that Abbadon was the orderly that Locke saw when he first woke up in the hospital?

If so, he seemed like he was a "good" guy to me. Even though I don't remember he face, I remember him being really positive as opposed to John's negative attitude about the accident.

Maybe Whidmore made sure Locke got to the island because he knows he's special and would usurp Ben as leader, therefore throwing a wrench in Ben's plans.

I will double check but I am pretty sure that Abbadon was not the original orderly that we saw when his dad threw him out the window..
