Now I have something else to think about. It really seemed out of place to me to have Abbadon helping Locke make it to the island. It seemed to go against the few things I knew about him. I started thinking that he was a double-agent who pretended to be working for Widmore, but really working for Ben. Or he was working for Ben when he was suggesting the walk-about to Locke, but quit when Ben 'lost his way' and started working for Widmore. (I thought the double-agent more likely) But now I have something new to consider.

Does anyone remember the painting on the hatch wall? The giant one that encompassed the wall with drawings of fish, people, a man with a scar on his eye (like locke), and a skinny black man that many thought could have been Eko's brother? What if that was Abbadon? Does anyone have a screen shot?

I too agree... Richard may have needed scientist Locke on the island, not knife wielding Locke, not the hunter, but the leader.

Abaddon just wants confusion... my only problem is... why did he also send the freighter 4?

It's interesting the way you said that... he was looking for scientist Locke... I have a theory about different timelines effecting pregnancies on the island. Maybe Richard is travelling to different timelines testing Locke in each one to find a certain one. Maybe the young Locke we saw Richard testing isn't the same Locke who landed on the island.

I'm also thinking that with different timelines and some of the theories I've read about the bearings for getting to and leaving the island being inconsistant... Maybe the bearings to get to the island are different depending on the timeline and maybe if you leave by different bearings you get to a different timeline. Ben may have sent Micheal to a certain timeline so he would know where to find him. It may also be a timeline in which Micheal is dead (killed himself maybe?) and therefore cannot die there again... I'm getting off topic...

And maybe the Losties escaped to the wrong timeline and that's why they need to get back... I need to stop...
