Jack had his appendix surgery on the island prior to leaving... so where is the scar when he wakes up in bed off the island?

What does this suggest?? Alternate reality? Super-healing powers of the island? Juliet is one hell of a surgeon?

Hi Dan - you can see the scar when Jack is holding the razor at the beginning of the show. It's a shot of his reflection in the mirror, so it looks like it's on his left side instead of his right.
