Bernard Nadler

Bernard Nadler is a tail section survivor of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 and the husband of Rose. He is the only tail section survivor that has not been killed, captured, or assimilated in to the Others. He wasn't seated in the tail section, and was only there when the plane crashed because he was using the bathroom then. Bernard cares very much for Rose and feels a need to fix things, like her cancer, not dissimilar to Jack.

Default Yes Ma'am

Anybody else notice how Juliet kind of became second in command this episode? As soon as Jack was laid up she starts handing out assignments, guns, and orders. She gave Jin permission to Shoot em' in the leg if they try to run or something to that effect. For the people think Juliet is still working for Ben, this means she's completely infiltrated the Losties camp and they trust her. For people who think Juliet just wants to get off the island I guess this means the losties have finally accepted her. What do you guys think?

I'm on the fence about her she's been around Ben for so long he kind of rubs off on her, that would make it hard for me to trust her

She is the only other Doctor, and Jack was putting his life in her hands. Plus she has been in camp for a while now without betraying them.

I think Juliet is actually a very good character. In my opinion, she never really belonged to the "others" because she didn't even want to be there. Everything she did, she only did to go back home to her sister. She doesn't want to harm anybody. Maybe our losties noticed that too^^

Juliet's situation isn't that she's benevolent or malevolent. That is one of the main themes of this show: no one main character is really good or bad...absolutely. All the characters seem to vacillate between being selfish and selfless. Juliet does "bad" things to the Losties because she's compromised by Ben's control over her stay on the island. Ben does "bad" things because he's compromised by Jacob and his loyalty to the island. Jack goes back and forth between his charismatic leader/savior side and selfish/paranoid side.

As for Juliet working for Ben still, I have my bet on him having control over her in some way or another. Remember that they set up a false trust between Juliet and the Losties before with making Claire sick. Incapacitating Jack with an unnecessary surgery (perhaps brought on by another poisonous agent hidden in food or water) could allow the Others via Juliet to have more control over the Losties's fate. It seemed to have worked in making her the de facto leader when Jack went down (as darnzy has already suggested).
