Shannon Rutherford
Shannon Rutherford was a middle section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815 and was Boone's stepsister, who she frequently argued with. She was very selfish at times, though she eventually formed a romantic relationship with Sayid. Shannon survived on the Island for 48 days before she was unintentionally shot and killed by Ana-Lucia Cortez.

Oz vs. Wonderland
We have heard much about both "The Wizard of Oz" and "Alice In Wonderland" and I found this an interesting observation on the two. It was always a bit confusing with both of the books and how everyone fit in (it is indeed difficult to follow both The Yellow Brick Road and The White Rabbit-with his darn pocket watch!), but I like this writer's thought.
Quote:
Jack is reading from Alice in Wonderland to Aaron. Where Ben is aligned with The Wizard of Oz, Christian Shephard is always paired with the Lewis Carroll books. The first time Jack sees Christian after Christian’s death is in the first full-episode Jack flashback, “White Rabbit.” “Through the Looking Glass” was also a Jack flash. Is Jack in Wonderland? And Ben is in Oz?
Jack reads the part from the book where Alice is wondering if she’s somehow woken up a different person.

Jack's appendectomy scar can only be seen while looking in a mirror?

The only time I could see it in the opening scene was when he was holding the razor, and that was a shot of his reflection in the bathroom mirror

And did anyone else think that while Jack was looking in the mirror at the shower the woman seemed to have blonde hair and sound like Juliet? And then when Jack turned around and we saw the shower straight we see it was Kate.

I never got that impression, but I did miss a lot of small things like that this ep.

My girlfriend noticed something like that, because as soon as I saw someone in the shower, I said 'Kate' but she said no definately not, its not her voice. I'll check again when I get home tonight, but that's very interesting. You must be looking forward to the 'No Place like Home' Queenbee - know how much you love that Oz !

I thought the first time seeing that scene it was a blonde like you said and thought it might of been Juliet in the shower. When I rewatch the episode I didn't notice then because I already knew it was going to show Kate. Glad I wasn't the only one.
