Jin-Soo Kwon
Jin-Soo Kwon (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Gwon Jin-su, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Kwo(n Chin-su) is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jin was born into a poor upbringing with his fisherman father which he has always been ashamed of. After meeting and in order to marry Sun, the love of his life, he was forced into working into his father-in-law's mafia-type business in which he takes part in horrid tasks. This has made him almost scared of what he is capable of. Due to this, he was over-controlling of Sun in their late-marriage stage. Jin is the only survivor to not speak the native language within the group - English. This has caused a constant language barrier but after Sun revealed she spoke English to the group, this helped him overcome this struggle and has managed to pick up disconnected words and phrases.

The Island and Jack
I was trying to crystallize my thoughts on Jack and the Island and was having no luck when I came across this. It crystallized my thoughts perfectly.
Quote:
The island obviously wants Jack back. Like Rose pointed out, it's no coincidence that Jack came down with crippling appendicitis when rescue was on the way. It didn't want him to leave, and the instant he did leave, it haunted him with visions of his dead father. It eventually broke Jack down until he got to the point that we saw him at in the season 3 finale.
The island also seems to want Hurley back, which explains why Charlie is haunting him. But what about the rest of the Oceanic 6? Sayid, Kate, Aaron and Sun have their problems, but they don't appear to have dead people following them around everywhere. What makes them different? Why did the island let them go?

I was thinking it was from what Ben said about releasing smoky
(he can release him but at what cost) did'nt Ben get his tummer earlier when smoky was let out?? Could that be one of the costs seeing dead people or injury to one the people that belong on the island and not suposed to leave??

There is another line of thought floating around out there about Jack's getting sick is not coincidence.
Quote:
|
There’s a theory going around that it wasn’t appendicitis at all. Juliet did the operation to take out a device that Jack had implanted in him. A device similar to what made Claire ill. It does fit: Juliet was shaving him in an area where the appendix wasn’t, and Jack was suspicious. I expect her insistence on getting him knocked out was because of this (to take out the device).

Jack and Charlie brought Claire back to her shelter, and Juliet stated that she was the one who had made Claire sick. Juliet retrieved supplies and supposedly nursed Claire back to health. However, Claire's "illness" was actually caused by Ben's activation of an implant that Ethan had previously put in Claire.("Maternity Leave") Ben activated it so that Juliet would gain the trust of the survivors when she "cured" her. ("One of Us")

I don't get where these people are coming from. When did Jack ever have anything implanted into him? There's was no scar before he had the appendectomy, so how did this object get inside him? If these people are saying they are implanting objects into peoples bodies by syringe, the object would be so minute how could Juliet take it out?

Who/ what's the original source for these quoted thoughts/theories?
It would help those who want to read them in their continuity or on the locations they were written, with previous/ following commentary made.

I agree about Juliet! I have always thought that she was with the Losties only because, at that moment, they were her best bet at getting off the island. If something better came along - she would jump on that bandwagon. Jack was unconcious for a time in the Hydra station where we know there was an operating room. Maybe something was implanted there? Did Claire ever say that she had a scar (one that she didn't have before the island) after being in the medical hatch?
