Dr. Jack Shephard
Dr. Jack Shephard is often seen as the main character of the series. He is a spinal surgeon and the de facto leader of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jack has control issues and trouble dealing with situations that he cannot fix. However, this attitude of solving problems through reason has given him the ability to function well in crisis. Sometimes, if he feels guilt or pain over a situation he can't fix himself, he will do anything he can to fix it, even borderlining on obsessive. Jack is, most of the time, in control of his life, emotions and situation he is in and is able to keep a cool head in tense situations. Jack is also the half brother of Claire Littleton, although neither of them is aware of this. Jack has formed very strong bonds with Kate and Juliet while he has been on the Island.

Yeah, it's still the island--the smoke monster--taking the form of somebody dead for 12 years.

YES!! You got it! That's who that guy was. You saw him on the dock when Ben got to the island. I am not sure if they showed him again after that. How long ago did Ben gas the island?

Apparently 12 years ago, because that's how long Horace says he's been dead.

Yeah - Horace Goodspeed is back! And why did he have blood coming out of his nose? And he seemed to know that he was dead, for 12 years no less! What's the deal with that! Yikes! I think Ben might be in trouble with Horace. lol!

Hey, but getting back to the original topic of this thread - "SURGERY!" I have two thoughts:
1) Now both Kate and Juliet have sewn up Jack - with lovely black thread, no less.
2) Juliet's stitches looked big and messy, similiar to poor Dr. Ray's stitches.

The placing of the preview (before an episode etc) has nothing to do with 'having to see it'. Common courtesy is that each one respect another's preferences and make the effort to accommodate it in a community like this. It can't possibly hurt to use a spoiler tag for what it is, or type 'warning: spoilerish'.

also, many people just watch online to avoid commercials, and aren't automatically exposed to the preview, so there's that too..

I didn't go searching for that information, it came on right after the episode.

How about some respect for the moderators of this Website? Who, by the way, know the rules of what you can and cannot write.
