Bernard Nadler
Bernard Nadler is a tail section survivor of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 and the husband of Rose. He is the only tail section survivor that has not been killed, captured, or assimilated in to the Others. He wasn't seated in the tail section, and was only there when the plane crashed because he was using the bathroom then. Bernard cares very much for Rose and feels a need to fix things, like her cancer, not dissimilar to Jack.

Mysterious Orchid? Logo
About the logo that is on the jacket, the logo's I Ching lines are in a different configuration than any other of the DHARMA logos; it appears that one of the symbols is repeated and another is omitted as well as all of the symbols being in different positions. What could that imply?
The first picture is the main dharma logo and all the logos follow this one's I Ching lines. The second is Ben's parka (dharka) logo and you can see the I Ching lines are different.
In I Ching-ology is there a significance to changing the order of the trigrams?
The original is(from top, clockwise):fire, earth, wind, heaven, water, thunder, mountain, lake.
The mystery one is: wind, lake, fire, water, ?, heaven, water, thunder. There is no earth triagram or mountain triagram.

Dharka - love it! I'm pretty sure there is a significance in the configuration of the Trigrams, we need an I-ching expert.
I Ching - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Very interesting, but very complex!
