Ben- Sayid- Desmond- Penny

Ok I was thinking about this today.. Ben gets Sayid to be a hit man for him after Nadia is killed..

On the freighter when Desmond finally gets to talk to Penny, Sayid is there.. He know's that Penny is Desmond's girlfriend and that he is trying to get back to her and all..

So does anyone think that Ben will send Sayid after Penny? Do you think that Sayid, after all that has happened would kill her.. I don't know if he could/ or would kill Desmond's lost Love..

Any thoughts?

OOOOHHHH!!!!! Interesting... Sayid and Desmond are friends and both understand not being able to be with the woman you love. This could be a quandary for Sayid.

I hope Desmond is still alive in the future.

I am re-watching the Economist, and Elsa just made reference to her pager stating that her boss doesnt like new technology.

This leads me to rule out Penny as the economist, because she was using that video link to talk to charlie when charlie died, so I doubt that Penny is the economist.

I don't think Sayid would kill Penny. I think it is very interesting that he may face this decision. Would Ben know how much Sayid knows about Penny (e.g. "Not Penny's boat" and of course the time with Desmond)? It seems like Ben is manipulating Sayid originally through the death of Nadia but later we hear him using "protecting or saving your friends" — I forget the exact words — to keep Sayid in the fold. It was great we got more on this relationship last week but now I just want more. Good writing.

I always thought it was strange how in that scene where Ben is patching up Sayid in the vets office, after Sayid tells Ben "now they know i'm after them" the camera pans to Ben who says with much inflection (of what emotion, I'm not sure) "Good."

I guess, in the light of recent shows, Ben is happy about this because the 'they' is Charles Widmore and Ben is finding pleasure in the knowledge that Charles knows someone is killing off his team.

Is everyone speculating that Ben will send Sayid after Penny? I don't think he will. Sayid is working with/for Ben, taking out the bad guys. But that doesn't mean that Ben has to have Sayid kill everyone that he wants dead. This is pretty personal for Ben, he told Charles 'I'm going to kill your daughter'. Of course this doesn't have to be literal, he could have her killed but I just don't see him going to all the trouble of manipulating Sayid into doing it.

i was going to say the same thing, that ben would kill penny himself, because he said so. but then again, it wasn't widmore that killed alex, but keamy who did it, whether it was on direct order or just as a consequence of "do whatever you have to do to get ben" sort of thing...
