Dr. Juliet Burke
Dr. Juliet Burke (née Carlson) is a member of the Others. She seems unhappy with her allegiance (particularly, it seems, with Ben's position of authority), and lives at the Barracks. Juliet is a calm, intelligent woman with a background in medicine, but unhappy with her private life and will do anything to get off the Island. However, it seems Juliet has betrayed her people and joined the survivors in wanting off the island.

EXCELLENT!!! You are goooood! And when we consider what the pilot said
Quote:
|
PILOT: Six hours in, our radio went out. No-one could see us. We turned back to land in Fiji. By the time we hit turbulence, we… we were a thousand miles off course. They're looking for us in the wrong place.

the island could line up with those spots!

Island Location
I decided to compile some of what we are discussing here and repost it on "Theories" — I wanted to get some other thoughts and comments on it because it seems provocative. Please rejoin the conversation there.
Island Location
Halliwax said that the island demonstrates a natural Casimir Effect:
From Wikipedia: "Exotic matter with negative energy density is required to stabilize a wormhole. The quantum mechanics of the Casimir effect can be used to produce a locally mass-negative region of space-time, and suggested that negative effect could be used to stabilize a wormhole to allow faster than light travel. Certain classes of higher dimensional models suggest that the Casimir effect is a candidate for the cosmological constant. It is demonstrated that a sufficiently advanced civilization could, in principle, manipulate the radius of the extra dimension to locally adjust the value of the cosmological constant. This adjustment could be tuned to generate an expansion/contraction of spacetime around a spacecraft creating an exotic form of field-propulsion. Due to the fact that spacetime expansion itself is not restricted by relativity, a faster-than-light 'warp drive' could be created."
We know Ben landed somewhere near Tozeur, Tunisia which is located at approximately N33° 55' E8° 08'. The antipode of this location is S33° 55' W171° 52' I have plotted that location on the attached map.
As you can see it lies along the Louisville Ridge which has many seamounts that don't quite break the ocean surface, of course one might?

Weird...
42 minutes ... 42 from 4 8 15 16 23 42
42 is about how long each episode takes on DVD, commercial free.
