Ben's Jacket

Anyone notice the name on the Dharma jacket Ben was wearing when he landed in the desert? It said Halliwax, as in our dear one-armed orientation scientist Edgar Halliwax? Did Ben land in Tunsia? Where the polar bear remains were found by Charolette? And what logo was that on his jacket?

I found this on Lostpedia: DHARMA logo seen on the breast of the parka worn by Ben has yet to be introduced in the series. It features concentric circles surrounding an unknown object.
The logo looks very much like the well-known celtic symbol "Triskel". Triskel, surrounded by a spiral. It may have something to do with time, because both the triskel and the spiral symbolize reincarnation.

I'm almost positive that it's the Orchid Station logo. Dr. Candle uses another pseudonym of "Dr. Edgar Halowax" (I'm pretty sure I remember it being spelled that way instead of "Halliwax") in the orientation film for that station. He has a Pearl logoed coat on in the film, so we had yet to see the real logo until Ben's parka showed up.

I checked the spelling of Edgar's last name and it is spelled "Haliwax" Also I watched the orchid video again and he is wearing a swan station logo coat. I was trying to look for a orchid station symbol because I thought we had seen one already, but apparently not. So it very well may be the Orchid Station logo.

Yeah, my bad. I did check after I posted this that Candle's pseudonym is spelled "Halliwax" (see screen cap) And yes, he was wearing a Swan not a Pearl logo on his jacket in the orientation film.

I think that was the point of showing the logo so blatanly on the parka Ben was wearing: a gift to all the fans that watched the Orchid Station film. No one outside of those that watched it would be able to make that connection between the "Halliwax" name and the new logo for--as far as the show itself--is new.

Could be. I guess we won't know until we see the actual station.

I hear rumors we'll see it by season's end.

Just a guess, but wouldn't the Orchid Station's logo be a flower? I think this unknown logo belongs to the secret cave station. If the triskelion symbol really does symbolize reincarnation, wouldn't that go really well with a station with time travel equipment allowing a person the ability to go back and redo events in time?

Good point. almost every logo we have seen has a symbol that is simply a visual representation of what the station is called.
