Desmond David Hume
Desmond David Hume was the lone resident of the Swan at the time of the Flight 815 crash. He was discovered by Locke, Kate and Jack a month later after they had blown open Hatch. After his failed attempts to leave the Island, Desmond joined the camp of survivors. Following the destruction of the Swan, Desmond gained a mysterious ability to see flashes of the future, with which he predicted Charlie's imminent death.

So Ben crawled through the Cerberus vent like Bugs Bunny on his way to Miami ,and poked his head out the other side where he taunted Smokie, and then dashed back through the rabbit hole so that Smokey would get the freighties and not him? I just assumed that Ben was able to summon it. He seems in control of everything else on the island.

I don't think the "secret cave station" is a station at all, merely a cerberus vent (see earlier post concerning this).

The cold breath/hot air - hot breath/cold air is about relevancy.
Its all about the combination.
We just aren't used to blowing cold air, so aren't familiar with the possibility.

I don't think it matters if this phenomenon could actually happen in real life or not. What's important is that we notice this bizarre detail and are unnerved by it because it's more proof that that things do not work for Ben the same way they do for Average Joe and Josephine, and that he is playing around with some serious forces of nature, fabric of the universe-type stuff.

Interesting, Wednighter. Could we tell what kind of injury Ben had?
Also interesting is the conversation the two men on horseback have. One of the Bedouin points out how Ben does not have a trail. The other replies, "Where did this [guy] come from? Down from the sky?"
About the logo that is on the jacket, the logo's I Ching lines are in a different configuration than any other of the DHARMA logos; it appears that one of the symbols is repeated and another is omitted as well as all of the symbols being in different positions. What could that imply?
The first picture is the main dharma logo and all the logos follow this one's I Ching lines. The second is Ben's parka (dharka) logo and you can see the I Ching lines are different.
btw - did you realize thatof the Main logo, Swan logo, Arrow logo, Staff logo, Hydra logo, Flame logo, Looking Glass logo, Tempest logo, Temple logo, Pearl logo and the Door logo - The Pearl Logo is the only logo that the colors are reversed on? (I'm speaking of station logos and not anything that has only appeared in a filmstrip)
