Nikki Fernandez

Nikki Fernandez was one of the middle section survivors from Flight 815 and is first introduced in "Further Instructions". She had spent most of her time on the island trying to recover the $8 million diamonds she and Paulo had stolen from Zukerman, her staged lover, before the crash. She received a Medusa spider bite that induced a deathlike paralysis and she died after being buried alive alongside Paulo.

Ok I think I was mistaken adding Ben into some one being immortal since we saw him born. But perhaps Whidmore is one of these "immortals" that's why Ben knows he can't kill him?

About this...

If JIN/SUN went to Australia to deliver the watches, why would they have had the watch that Michael had on (that made Jin attack Michael) *AFTER* they left Australia? It would have been gone already.

They were to deliver the watches in Los Angeles.

Were they in Australia for a honey moon?

Sounds great!!

I think the game charles and ben are playing is an epic one...

namely the everlasting battle of good versus evil.

Maybe a disguised Oz reference? Australia is often called Oz and we've had a few references to The Wizard of Oz throughout the show eg The Man Behind the Curtain

Australia is the key to everything.. That is what Hurley said right? The first thing that I thought of is the special properties of the place where Issac the faith healer is.. Maybe that place has some of the same special properites as the Island.. remember the faith healer told Rose some people he can help and some he can't cause of the special properties there.. I figured it was some connection like that.

Australia = Land of Oz
Wizard of Oz - Yay! I love anytime The Wizard of Oz is mentioned!
From everything I've read on Risk strategies Australia is NOT the key to the whole game. So could Australia represent something else? Could Australia represent Aaron? Aaron is the key to the whole game?

Quote:
CLAIRE: Last week. Is that why you didn't want to do my reading last time?
MALKIN: No, I saw something, sort of a blurry thing.
CLAIRE: And, blurry's bad?
MALKIN: Blurry's bad. That's why I stopped the reading. Are you sure you want to go on now?
CLAIRE: Yeah, yes, please.
MALKIN: I can tell you, this is important.
CLAIRE: Okay.
MALKIN: It is crucial that you, yourself, raise this child.
Is the blurry thing the Smoke Monster?

Quote:
CLAIRE: You spent the last 4 months telling me I have to raise the baby myself. Now you're giving me money and saying I don't have to?
MALKIN: I found a couple in Los Angeles who are very eager to adopt. The baby will be safe in their care. Now, I've foreseen. . .
CLAIRE: Heh, Foreseen? I don't even know why I'm here. I'm sorry.
MALKIN: I know this sounds ridiculous, Claire. All this psychic business, and I appreciate that you must think I'm a raving madman. But this is what must happen.
CLAIRE: So you're giving me 6000 dollars to give my baby to a couple of strangers in Los Angeles?
MALKIN: 12,000. The other 6 when you arrive in Los Angeles. And they're not strangers, Claire. They're good people.
In regards to the highlighted line - I know Claire and Malkin are talking about money, but in light of what we now know - Other 6 (O6) in Los Angeles who won't be strangers - Kate, Jack, Sun, Hurley, Jin, Aaron, and Claire - they are good people. Maybe they will help protect Aaron.

BTW - I hope Claire doesn't end up being the Wicked Witch of the East.

If the show is in fact about time travel (which seems to be the case by ben asking what year it was and "appearing" in middle of the desert with nothing looking confused - like he just got done time traveling) The lady said it was 2005 which would be the future (or present day?) however; all that time which has already technically happened back in 2004 would not be able to happen if Whidmore or Ben dies. That ultimately I think is Ben and Whidmore's only fear is opening up some type of tear in the universe because of what they are getting themselves into - or some massive in-comprehensive effect that is inevitable if one of them has died in the future and unable to live out the past

See, I don't know if that is neccessarily true given what we've seen in the Orchid Station Film with Rabbit #15. I wonder if there are actually two machines - a transporter (which Ben took to Tunisia) and a replicator (which could help a person "live forever" - if the replicant didn't start out with a TABLA RASA<--episode title)

Do you mean because you are guessing that some of the stuff that Ben did on the island he would only have been able to do if at some point in the future he travels back to a time before the crash happened? Like with the files on everyone? Do you think he got that information by traveling forward or backward in time? I'm intrigued, what do you mean exactly?

Where do you get the idea that Widmore is afraid of this? Ben is full of fears and full of plans to avoid negative future outcomes, but I don't see Widmore doing this. No?

Good point, Whidmore almost sounded disappointed when Ben said he wasn't there to kill him
