James Ford
James Ford, better known by the alias of "Sawyer", is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Sawyer's early life was ravaged by the con man who ultimately claimed both his parent's lives through conning them, instantly orphaning him. As a child, he wrote a letter to this con man, hoping to deliver it to him in person one day. Sawyer set out to search for him, presumably after he left school, however he, himself, ultimately became a con man and became the man he was hunting, became Sawyer. Revenge plays a big part in Sawyer's life, starting with the real Sawyer. On the island, Sawyer has often used his abilities to con people to get his wishes, and keeps a stash of useful items with him. However, after the death of the real Sawyer, he has begun to rethink his ways and is slowly turning into a leader for the survivors.
He escaped from the captivity of the Others with Kate, and has formed a relationship with her.

The Bodies on the Plane
Whew! No Snakes On A Plane. I know there has been extensive talk about the "planted" bodies (ew!) on other episode threads, but in light of last night's information, I thought it warranted a new thread.
So we now know that the 324 bodies came from Thailand.
Countries have federal laws about the transporting of dead bodies, and even more so about transporting bodies out of the country.
Jack was somehow able to get his father's body out of the country with the help of only a ticket agent, and in pretty quick time get through governmental red tape?
Mr. Paik was heard having conversation with an associate in D.O.C. about forged papers. Could those papers be about getting 324 bodies (which are all apparently taken from one neatly lined up place) out of Thailand and onto a plane in Australia?
Many people on this site have pointed out that one way that bodies are identified are DNA. We know Ethan, who worked for Ben, took blood samples from Losties, but really he didn't take that much blood:

On several occasions, the Others have taken blood samples from the survivors. It is unknown yet as to why they have done this.

I guess I am still confused about who put the bodies on the plane, and just like Michael's mom pointed out last night about how the reports all said ALL 324 people died, yet here we have Michael and Walt (and the O6) all alive. Were the bodies even salvageable? Or did they just have a mass burial at sea, and therefore didn't need DNA? It seems like Widmore bought the plane, but Ben has the DNA if the bodies were recovered (but most of the DNA belongs to "survivors")

Here is my take on the fake plane wreckage.
First let me say that if we were talking about a real life event, then the logistics would be almost if not completely impossible. Aside from the logistic problems with just transporting 324 dead bodies. The biggest challange would be keeping the people involved quiet. Even evil henchmen have lives outside of work. How do you keep your personnel quite about all the activities they are involved in when faking a crash site? But this is a TV show and all we really need is just some plausible explanations. (I guess)
Tom tells Michael that Widmore bought a decommissioned plane from a salvage yard and got the bodies from a graveyard in Thailand.
So there you go.
Apparently he got a crew to paint the plane to look like Oceanic 815. Dressed the bodies in the appropriate crew uniforms and civilian clothes for passengers. Loaded the plane with luggage and strapped the dressed dead bodies into the seats. Then took the whole she-bang-a-bang and sunk it one of the most inaccessible places of the worlds oceans.
Then along comes the deep sea expedition that were doing whatever they were doing and they found it.
So all thats left is the black box (flight data recorder). Widmore either sunk it along with the plane and this was the only item that a salvage team recovered. OR Since he staged the whole thing maybe he just kept it (knowing that salvage of anything would be impossible) and gave it to Freighter captain to aid in convincing Sayid and Des.
I think the freighter captain was just lying, trying to convince Sayid and Des that Ben is responsible for the fake plane.
