Michael Dawson
Michael Dawson is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. He had parental issues with his son, Walt, but the two have bonded with their time on the island. Michael shot dead Ana-Lucia and Libby in order to release Ben from captivity; and ultimately caused the capture of Jack, Sawyer and Kate, when he made a deal with the Others. His whereabouts are currently unknown after he left the Island with his son Walt on a motor boat.

Pchee, Miles' exact words when Michael gets on board: "your name isn't Kevin".
Even with the best of clairvoyants, medium-people or whatever is the name, it's not like he/she can read/know exactly, 100% etc. But considering what this and earlier episodes gave about Miles' gifts, fair to say that he's got the ability to communicate with the dead and read people's psychology (i.e. their hearts or minds, depending how one wishes to interpret that). If Miles had further conversation with 'Kevin' later (which this episode didn't show but it's not some remote possibility that they did) quite possible that Miles noticed/ read/ saw etc. that Kevin's related to this Benjamin Linus guy in some intriguing way.

Oh what a good thread, as I was looking to post a random thought and question myself but didnt want to open a new thread.
So there was only one helocopter on the boat, we know this because Naomi was shown arguing with Frank right before Frank and Mike's random conversation.
NAOMI: Sorry, Frank, but I'm going first and that's all there is to it.
FRANK: No offense, but I was flying these things when you were still in grade school. If anybody's gotta go first, it should be me.
NAOMI: I need you here to transport the science team.
FRANK: What the hell are you going to be doing?
NAOMI: That's need-to-know. You don't.
But then we saw in the near end of season 3 that Naomi parachuted (?) from a 'copter just before it crash landed in the ocean in the polar opposite area that she landed, almost as if she was rocketed out of it. So that would mean there were two helos, would it not? Just a bit confused about how Naomi came to be on the island in the first place. And why did she not have a gun?
Also, just a funny bit, Michael is the patron saint of parachuters!

We saw something land in the water that's for certain. Wether or not it's a helicopter, that's anybody's guess.

Hey TevaZ013, I have been thinking about this too- Earlier both Desmond's flashbacks and Naomi's words were in line with the helicopter falling somewhere in the ocean..So there were two helicopters, and two pilots? (Remember how Lapidus had said before that he's no lousy pilot and landed the helo safely on island?)

I don't have much of info or speculation to open up a thread for Karl, so I'll post here since the episode finale involved him..and got me thinking- who's this guy? unless the producers are preparing some real surprise, we think we know that Alex is Rousseau's daughter, kidnapped and raised by Ben.. But who are Karl's parents? Looks like his folks aren't around (dead?) Was he born on the island like Alex? or did he end up on island in an altogether different way? Any thoughts on this?
Here's the Lostpedia entry on Karl anyways: Karl - Lostpedia

What I was thinking 2. Looks like something to protect his eardrums from any inadvertant explosions on set. When people get shot on-screen, Often they plant little mini-explosives in people's clothing to simulate a bullet-strike. Alex's "earring": ???

There wasn't much of an explosion that would require such protection. And Alex's is definitely not an earring. It's like a mic or something..

I read somewhere that the actor does wear a hearing aid and it was simply an error

Actually, Michael is the patron saint of paratroopers. This is derived from his descending from heaven in order to battle Satan and his forces. This is seen twice in the Bible. First in the book of Joel; here he contends with Satan for the body of Moses. Secondly in Revelation.
