I didn't mind not seeing ana-lucia at all. She was a pain in the butt, and a terrible actor to boot.

I could not stand Ana Lucia either, terrible acting. I think seeing Libby was just a way to show us how absolutely racked with guilt Michael is. So we the audience would be more sympathetic to him. The music playing in Michael's car when he first tries to kill himself is Cass Elliot. When we first see inside the hatch we hear Cass Elliot singing "make your own kind of music". Another way to show he is haunted by his past.

Huh?? Anyways, I think it's Libby haunting Michael either because we are yet to see Ana Lucia (apparitions of two dead people in one episode could be a little too much for the episode narrative) or because Libby's dead was somehow more traumatic for Michael. Ana Lucia was an aggressive character that didn't bond much with anyone on the beach while Libby was a helpful woman and Michael later found out about her and Hurley..

Yeah Micheal is haunted by what he done to Libby cause she really was an accident, but I sure hate to be in Micheal shoes once Hurley get a hold of him. Unless Hurley has been visit by Libby and she get him to be over his anger toward Micheal.
Yeah I agree that Ana Lucia acting was sloppy maybe they realize after having her casting they could of found a better person to do her so just kill her off and after her little thing off the set they found a reason to kill her off.

I didn't hear whispers when Libby appeared (like we did when Regina appears in jungle) just hear a bit of music that played in the hatch. I think Libby is just the one who Michael feels MOST guilty about, so he has nightmares...

Get'm Libby. What kind of role model is a dad who kills unarmed innocent people?

Yeah, what is up with all the Cass Elliot songs? I don't think Michael had that pre-set for his suicide run, it seems he just turned to the the radio to a random station. Is it just a coincidence? Or do Cuse and Lindelof just love Mama Cass?
