 Charlie Hieronymus Pace
Charlie Hieronymus Pace was a survivor from the middle section of Oceanic 815. Before the crash, Charlie was the bassist and main songwriter for the rock band Driveshaft. When Flight 815 crashed, Charlie was snorting heroin in one of the plane's bathrooms. Charlie's drug addiction and crippling self-doubt were the biggest obstacles in his life. Like many of the Losties, the crash provided Charlie with a fresh start. On the Island, Charlie formed a relationship with Claire Littleton and her son Aaron.
After avoiding deaths foreseen by Desmond several times, Charlie finally died willingly to save the other survivors. He drowned on day 93, and his death is yet unknown to anyone except Desmond.

Well if it fell out of the sky with most dog cages it could have broken, espically if it is a plastic one.. Maybe the cage just broke durning the crash? Otherwise you pose a great question..

I could swear that Jack was dragged into the jungle by someone, and that is why he's not with the crash, and that is evidenced by the flashlight by his head when he first wakes up... the same type of flashlight that is in the medical hatch. Oddly, only those with HD can see the flashlight, and HD was pretty rare in 2004, so only a few could see it much less take screenshots, but its there.
Vincent is a mystery, but if he's not Smokey, then perhaps his less intelligent mind can be used by smokey or jacob, adn that is why smetimes he seems human, and other times he seems like, well, a dog.

See, that is what I think too, CableRunner.... I don't know how Jack could have fallen through all that bamboo unscathed. But if he were placed there, away from ALL the other crash victims... that would make more sense.... just like it was weird that Kate came walking out of the jungle too....
