Charlie Hieronymus Pace
Charlie Hieronymus Pace was a survivor from the middle section of Oceanic 815. Before the crash, Charlie was the bassist and main songwriter for the rock band Driveshaft. When Flight 815 crashed, Charlie was snorting heroin in one of the plane's bathrooms. Charlie's drug addiction and crippling self-doubt were the biggest obstacles in his life. Like many of the Losties, the crash provided Charlie with a fresh start. On the Island, Charlie formed a relationship with Claire Littleton and her son Aaron.
After avoiding deaths foreseen by Desmond several times, Charlie finally died willingly to save the other survivors. He drowned on day 93, and his death is yet unknown to anyone except Desmond.

With the phone conversation between Ben and Michael, we learn that Ben's concerned about the lives of the innocent people on boat and he says that he wouldn't take their lives. The plan then turns into Michael making a list of the crew and then jamming the communications and the engine of the boat so that the freigther people can't get to the island. Now as much as I love to hate Michael, he got those parts of mission accomplished

I think that when we get to see the rest of the scene where Sayid outs Michael to the captain, the captain will say "I already know this."
We know from the flash forward that Sayid ends up working for Ben, but right now I think Sayid hates Ben as much as he ever did and as soon as Michael answered Sayid's question by saying " Yes I am working for Ben" Sayid rushed him to the captains office.
Sayid might I have a plan in the works, but right now I think he just exposed Michael because at this moment Sayid is definitely not on Ben's side. I am sure Sayid doesn't completely trust the captain but at the moment it is the lesser of two evils??

Also it gets the sabateur away from the engines, so perhaps the boat will get to safer waters and there will be fewer unexplained deaths. I like how they picked the guy that sabatoged the boat to head the engine repair job
Do you think that was a coincidence? Or were they like, "well, he busted it, he can fix it." And maybe Sayid recognized Micheal's handiwork when repairing the radio. Like he was all: Wow, this was done by a hack. I already fixed it.

I agree. the last time Micheal was working for Ben it had disasterous effects on the Losties. You don't go to the same seafood restaurant that made you sick twice.

whatever it is, it's when sayid uses his "heart instead of his gun"; and Ben takes advantage of the situation.

Many things can happen between present island time and the flash forward we see with Sayid killing the man on the golf course and Elsa. I have a feeling he has a slightly different job description...

I agree, sombra1230.
Ben seems to pick people for jobs according to their strengths (or weaknesses). It is possible that Michael was set up by the Others, sent as a decoy of some sort. That bomb was ridiculous. Is it possible that Michael is there to give false info to the freighter folk?
