So the dead are: Karl and Danielle?

I don't think Danielle is dead. We haven't even gotten a chance to see her story yet.

I'm wondering whose shooting at them, could it be the others because they've been told by Ben to shoot at anyone coming. And maybe Ben had set up Danielle and Karl because of his feeling for his so called daughter has it been revealed that Ben is really her father and (grasp!!!) had sex with Danielle after her arriving on the island. Yeah we need to know her back story I'm almost sure Danielle is wearing a vest she's been on the island long enough to know anything and everything can happen.

but conceiving on the mystical Island is death..

Bne may have known Danillle before and Alex was NOT born on the Island

Yes! I didn't think of that before they were headed to the the temple, so yes it probably was one of the others! Did you notice hoe Ben was looking at Alex's stomach and how she had her hand over her torso?

I NOTICED THAT TOO!!! is alex already pregnant?

why did danielle make such a profession of love before they did the one-two-three. i think she sacrificed herself or something, like she knew she was going to get shot. maybe ben is trying to get alex secretly off the island somehow and planned to kill karl so that she wouldn't have any ties.

I think Danielle is dead- but that doesnt mean she is off the show or that we wont learn more about her some how- though, I wish she didnt die. Hopefully she had a vest...where would she get one?

I couldnt decide who I thought it was shooting at them. Either the others or the frieghter people. Who ever it was had a silencer on the gun...

My thought is that it was the people from the boat. Remember they took the copter to 'run errands.' And, I dont know if the other's government has been thrown outta wack with recent events, but it's part of their code not to kill their own, that's punishable by execution (as we saw with Juliett (unless if that was all a show?)).

It was nice not to see Jack at all last night...

Karl seemed dead. After a few viewings, I do not think Danielle is dead. She was shot in the backpack. They showed her lying on the ground and you could see under the pack, and there was no blood.

I keep wondering if we will ever get a flashback for Danielle. We've had Ben and Desmond, she sould have one. (or did I miss it?)

Here is a screencap of when Danielle got shot. It looks like the bullet pierced right through her. I believe that she is still alive though.

Thanks for the screen cap.. She is definatly hit.. The island and its properties to heal who know's if it is a fatal wound. Guess we will in a few weeks
