Totally agree Folie, and it seems the bag must be the focus or else they coould have just shown the ring in her hand, later.

I really think we are dealing with a different timeline where the histories of the 'six' are off by just a bit, and that is the lie Jack wants revealed. I'm taking a wild guess that because the wreckage of flight 815 was found with all bodies in the original timeline, then the six were sent to another where the bodies were never found and a story could be contrived. Or, I've just gone insane.

I think it could just be an error since they knew she was one of the Oceanic 6 when she was brought into the hospital.. IDK either!

I'm getting the sense that you guys on this thread don't believe what I said in my last post. So this time I am coming to the table with some more solid proof. It's NOT a blooper. That IS sun's name on the bag they put her ring in. I am 100% sure of this. We americans arrange our names differently than Koreans do. It's as simple as that. My friend is married to a Korean woman. He calls his step-mother Young but her proper Korean name is Young Hieh. My friend has also recently traveled to Korea where he immersed himself into the culture in order to understand his wife's family better. Think of the way Jin's name was arranged on his tombstone ,reading from top to bottom, Southern Sea Kwon Jin Soo Grave. I hope this post doesn't come across "high and mighty" That is not what I intended. I am going to write a post on Lostpedia in hopes they will change this mistake.

Hehe, totally agree with you darnzy. I don't think this post has any relevence at all to the storyline. It's just her name!
