Two Toothbrushes

Just an interesting thing I noticed last night when I was rewatching this episode - when Sun is packing her suitcase (when she is wearing a black and white top, interesting!) we see her take a tube of something out of the medicine cabinet. Yawn*. What I thought was interesting was that there were two toothbrushes in the toothbrush holder. There was a dark colored one (black or dark blue) and a red one, which she takes out and puts in her case where she had put the toothpaste. Whose toothbrush is that other one? I'm trying to find a picture of it..............

When planning a short trip to the States (with the intention to return in a week or two) it wouldn't really make sense to throw out a perfectly good toothbrush. Upon returning, Sun may have felt like she couldn't disrupt any of Jin's stuff. This sort of thing is very common among people who lose a spouse. This catch could tell us a little about the time line of events. Possibly, Sun has only been off the island for a short time when the flashforward takes place. If that is the case, she is not very far along in the grieving process and has therefore not come to grips with the reality of her life alone.

I'm not sure that Sun is seen in her old apartment (the one she shared with Jin) it looks like a new one, if so, the 2 toothbrush idea seems important. Can anyone confirm old/new apartment status?

I think the apartment was a new one (unless Sun had it re-furnished) I remember the bedroom of the newly weds was rather different than what the scenes in the last episode allowed us to see: earlier, Sun and Jin had quite a tall bed-head panel with fancy fabric framed in repeating wooden squares..

Maybe it was Hurley's toothbrush? Just because he's fat doesn't mean he has bad oral hygiene.

Seriously though, that was a good catch. I have no idea who it could be.

I don't know about all this. It would seem unlikely that a 9 months pregnant Sun would be hooking up with anyone. Could it be possible that Jin doesn't die until they are off the island? That way they could have moved into a new place together before his death. Despite affairs she's had in the past, she is totally preggers with Jin's babe.

Oh my goodness, did this take some digging to get. Wonder if Jin didn't die---> on the island, but made it off the island for a short while (we know it is, what, three days after Christmas Eve, so it is December 27th). The scene we see Sun in below is when she is about to give birth. Wonder if Jin made it off the island, but later died, back in the real world?
