Did anyone else's ears perk up when Bernard said this to Jin in the canoe? It was extremely interesting considering in which camp Bernard is living:

* Matthew and Luke (Others) are shot by Jin.

* Jack has "killed" the U.S. Marshall. Jack chose to save Boone (who later he let die) and caused Joanna Miller to drown.

* Kate killed her father (off-island).

* Colleen Pickett (Other) was shot by Sun on Desmond's boat.

* Juliet has killed Danny Pickett.

* Sayid breaks Jason's neck (Other) with his legs.

* Four unnamed Others plus Ivan and Diane are blown up in the ambush on the Losties' camp by Sayid and Bernard.

Now all these people who are in Jack's camp have killed people and Bernard says "Locke is a murderer." Wow! What do we make of that?

And Bernard probably blew up a few Others when he was with Jin and Sayid shooting at the pregnant women's tents.

Murder and justifiable homicide are two different things. Locke shot that woman in the back just to stop a phone call. In Bernard's eyes, that is murder. He did not say "Locke is a killer".

My ears really perked up when Bernard said the Locke was a murderer. I thought "Who the hell did Locke murder? Seems like a lot of the survivors have killed someone or other, but not Locke". I forgot about the knife in the back thing, but she got up and ran away afterward, and was even strong enough to create a fake trail. I think she aggravated her own wounds. Granted Locke probably meant to kill her, but jeez, they've all killed someone. Even Bernard blew up some of the others.

so what, Bernard is a wimpy rabbit.

I have said it before and I will say it again. All of our losties are bad guys. Please notice I said losties and not survivours. Now, bring it on.

The Marshall died of his injuries(from the crash, and Sawyer shooting him, maybe he helped him along, but I highly doubt anyone would see that as murder), as did Boone and how in the world did he cause Joanna Miller to drown?? She swam out to far, Jack might have saved her, but in no way did he cause her death!

Check it again Asher. Kate encouraged Jack not to aid the Marshall. Jack withheld treatment. Marshall died. Jack be killer. Jack be quick. Jack is sneaky. Jack is slick.

Even Rose doesn't seem to give much credit to Bernard's judgment on many things. Now I know his thoughts on Locke seem to be in line with what Rose implied earlier, but he doesn't know half of what's going on with Freighter people or Locke's motivations for doing what he's done. Bernard can go catch some surgeonfish for dinner for all I care.

They were really drawing our attention to this change in Locke by making that comment in the boat. Suddenly he is no longer rising above all the stuff that happens on the island. There was a time when he wouldn't kill his father because he was a "farmer" not a "hunter." But Locke no longer has that moral separation and I think this takes away his credibility a bit. He stabbed Naomi in the back, which many would never do. He did so intending to kill and further his own agenda. Although this was the day he became a pseudo-leader, this was also the day that his mystique died. Jack has still never maliciously killed or even done so out of self defense. I think this is one of the reasons he has maintained his place as leader for so long.
