Sayid Hassan Jarrah
Sayid Hassan Jarrah is a middle-section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815. A courageous man and a competent leader, Sayid maintains a conservative manner which reflects both strength and spirituality, and tries to atone for the demons in his past. Sayid spent a lot of his adult life search for his childhood-love, Nadia, hoping she is alive. Sayid's past as a torturer constantly plagues him. Through his skills and leadership, he plays a key role in the survival of his group, and exploring the Island's secrets.

I agree, I think that the "cabin fever" that the crew members are going through on the freighter is the sickness that Danielle described her crew experienced.

You are right! It does seem like an odd way to store an axe. Is that an osha-approved method? lol

is there a pic of the ax stuck in a wall?
the pic that queen posted is an ax
some kind of mount designed to hold it there.
Also it says fire station 2, and that is exactly where you would find a red fire ax.

She looked to be in a trance or something and I wondered if they are being controlled and not experiencing any type of sickness. She walked up there very easily and jumped while no one seemed to care. Doesn't it seem like everyone on the boat is a little too laid back about everything? From the way they dress to the way they handle Desmond and Sayid to the fairly relaxed reaction when they find the blood in the cabin. These freighter people just don't seem fazed by anything.

Do you think the blood on the wall may be the remnants of Minkowski's friend that floated toward the island in a raft with him?

Why would you kill someone that was crazy? That seems pretty harsh.

Killing someone who is insane or mentally disabled is cruel and unusual punishment.

So are we sure that there really was an axe in the wall or is it like Folie said and people just think it looks like an axe stuck in a wall?

What do you think of S.C. Taylor's poem? That sort of seemed to fit for me, at least for the madness and the chains (r.i.p. Regina)
Quote:

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. The freighter was the ship from the story, stuck dead and motionless upon an endless ocean. The island was the albatross, chained around the crew’s necks – they’d spent too much time there and now they were doomed. They can’t move, they can’t flee, and they can only suffer for their folly.
