And yes your right.. Sun would have been one of the first to be killed if it was a slasher movie =)

The 1980 birthdate is Sun's birthday (I can read Korean, her name was listed next to that date...)

Do you by any chance know what the characters translate to above Jin's name? I've been trying to figure it out.

He seems a likely candidate for the one to die next week based upon this episode...unless everyone knows something I don't.

Yea he would do anything to protect her, including staying on the island and allowing her to have a safe and healthy life with her baby back home. That doesn't necessarily mean he has to die to protect her.

The other date must be the side for Sun 1980 because there was no death date beside it!

Silly Question: Does anyone know how schooling works in Korea?
Since when in the US (where I live) most people graduate highschool at the age of 17-18 (average) then to go to a University for 4 years that would have put her at getting out of highschool in 1998 and College 2002..

In the first meeting with the guy she ulitmately cheats on Jin with.. Sun attended the Seoul National University.. Does that make sense with the fact that Jin's FB took place in the year of the Dragon Feb 2000-Jan 2001.. She was out of school I think before she met Jin.. Unless she only went for 2 years..

Although to show how confused I truely am.. I guess she could have gone to college just before that.. Married Jin in mid to late 2000 after at least 2 years of College... I would assume that Sun's father was pushing her to get married as soon as she was done with school if not while she was in school...

I'm totally baffled why Sun's birth year would be listed on the tombstone as 1980. She's only 24??? (If it's 2004 to her, that is.) That makes no sense.... That would make Sun only a couple years older than Shannnon and Kate, and that doesn't sound right at all.

Here's my math:
Sun had already been out of school for a couple years when her mother set her up with that guy w/whom she ultimately had an affair. She dated Jin for at least a year before telling her father. They had been married probably 2 years before the crash (using the aging of the puppy as my evidence here...). Add back the 4 years she should have aged in the real world once she returns and 1 extra year since Koreans round their age up at birth and Sun is 32. Yeah, that makes a lot more senses to me.

Yeah, 1980 makes no sense to me, so why's it on the tombstone?
