But it hasn't been reveal that Michael is Ben's spy, it just shows him being Kevin Johnson whom I think had been picked up by the freighter and had his brain has made him "retard like" by the fake course that Ben gives him to leave the island. I'm still leaning toward it being the pilot who may had decide to double cross Ben when he comes to meeting some of the surviours.
Well if I'm wrong then I'm wrong wouldn't be the first time I'll admit.

Before Jin married Sun he had no money and definitely no nice suits. I think it was 2 alternate timelines. A lot of people are going to poo-poo this theory, but just wait... You'll see.

I don't think Jin's story with the panda was a flashback for 2 reasons. !.) That would just be twist within an episode, which is not something the producers usually do. When they give us a twist it's a twist that effects the whole storyline, usually. Like seeing Libby in Santa Rosa at the end of "Dave." 2.) If that part of Jin's story was a flashback, what was the point? We were given no important new information about that part of his life. The only way it makes sense to me is if the two stories were parallel but alternate timelines.

Hey PotPie! I have been looking around all night to see if I can find when Jin and Sun were married. Because if the panda scene is in 2000 (to January 2001 - last year of the dragon) were Sun and Jin already married? Was he already working for Mr. Paik in 2000? Was he even telling the truth about being married for "only two months" or was that just a hit man cover story?

It was 2000, they had been married 2 months, it was a simple flashback. No need to try to make it complicated.

What info did it add? Nothing I can see. They just wrote it that way to make it look like Jin was still alive and off the island - just a trick. The old cellphone was the first clue I picked up on. Then I thought, if she is in labor, why is he shopping for a panda? Then I got it - like the ending of silence of the lambs, when you think the cops are about to save Jody, but its a different house.

i agree with dax. lost has us questioning everything, but i believe it was a flashback for jin, done in such a way as to keep us guessing. the twist at the end is that we find out it was a flashback for jin
and in sun's flashforward, jin did not make it off the island.

I had to watch it again Yay on demand lol. But I think the whole Jim thing was in the past cause he was there to give the panda to that girl but he was not married it her that was when he was married to Sun 2 months after the marriage. He was there to give the panda on behafe of his boss.

Well I thought for awhile that Jin's part might not be a flashback, but now I am pretty sure that it was.

Another clue is this:
When his taxi is taken by some guy Jin gets very upset and yells at the taxi something like "I'll rip your head off!!"

This is definitely something the old Jin would say.

so Jin must die on the island and the cover story has him dying in the plane crash, so thats why tombstone has 9-22-2004 for date of death.

He never said that it was his wife having a baby, he just said that he had to get to the hospital, and answered yes when the cashier asked if he was going to the maternity ward. They wanted us to think he was going to see Sun, but it was obvious once he got there that this was in the past. He said he had only been married for 2 months, and that the panda was a gift from his boss. He tied a blue ribbon on it because the woman (NOT Sun) had a boy.
