Dr. Juliet Burke

Dr. Juliet Burke (née Carlson) is a member of the Others. She seems unhappy with her allegiance (particularly, it seems, with Ben's position of authority), and lives at the Barracks. Juliet is a calm, intelligent woman with a background in medicine, but unhappy with her private life and will do anything to get off the Island. However, it seems Juliet has betrayed her people and joined the survivors in wanting off the island.

Default Does anyone feel sorry for Ben?

Remember how giddy and excited he was when Juliet was visiting? He was so happy!!! And then she goes off with Goodwin...He couldn't take it. He let Goodwin basically kill himself because Goodwin can't keep his hands to himself (Goodwin Fails In His Death). He was so mad that for a moment he felt like forcing her to love him. But he couldn't...And I feel sorry for Ben. I think Juliet takes him too seriously. He was heart broken. And just because hes heart broken doesn't me hes gonna risk his neck to make sure nobody touches Juliet. He knows Jack loves Kate. He knows that Jack and Juliet will just make Juliet heart broken. Wouldn't he want that? So I doubt hes gonna hurt Jack.

Still, I feel sorry for Ben.

the stake trhough the heart I forgot that part I thought anna shot him?

Ben is being humanized by the LOST series and eventually it will become more clear
as to the reasons why.

I have said before Ben will emerge as a Hero

For sure Ben has HUGE info thta keeps him in control and the other folks need some of this info to survive..especially Locke for now

One of the other forums had a thread about how many Others vs LOSTies were killed by one another..
Also Ben had many opportunities to kill Jack Kate Sawyer ect..but chose instead to cut deals

I don't feel sorry for him, per se. It just goes to show, the guy can control events across time but can't contol who loves him. I think they tried showing that with the murder of his father. He really needed his mom, but he got the unloving father, now he tries to make Juliette love him, even having a number 9 bus drive over a powerful influence in her life... but to no avail. But feel sorry for him.. no. I think Treebeard has a little crush.

I don't know if I like you better or worse now. Sure the upside is I don't have to deal with you hating me. The down side is your posts don't make sence anymore and are no longer relevant to anything at all.

I like you better this way. Keep it up.

First off, I am not the biggest Ben enthusiast.

But, when I saw him open the door for Juliette for the dinner, he seemed, almost.. Human. I think that's the first time I have ever seen any kind of real emotion out of him.

What I thought of the way Ben was courting Juliette it seemed to me like he just really wanted him to like her.. When she did not feel the same way though he almost seemed like Ben took his creepyiness to a whole new level.. My first reaction was to feel bad for him but it quickly turned to Oh Ben what are you thinking...

I did laugh when he tricked her into having a nice romantic dinner for two..

I see what your saying, but when I saw him open the door it just seemed like more of Ben's manipulations.

Instead of him being genuine and rushing around, opening the door quickly then rushing back to get the ham out. It seemed liked something him planned out in an attempt to impress Juliet.
