Paulo

Paulo was one of the middle section survivors of Flight 815. Before the crash, he and Nikki Fernandez murdered Howard L. Zukerman and stole his diamonds. They spent most of their time on the island searching for these diamonds to the exclusion of almost everything else. A bite from a Medusa spider induced a death-like paralysis in Paulo. He subsequently died as a result of being buried alive while paralized.

Would anyone agree with me that it was the island that wanted to stop Daniel's efforts at the tempest and not Ben?

I thought so to, I mean how could Ben communicate with Harper? It seems more like it was the smoke monster, and I dont think that Widmore wants to change the island into a Jurassic Park, I believe he wants something more sinister.

Ben is in a sort of protective custody. He's got Locke convinced these people are bad so he (Locke) we keep them away/kill them while he (Ben) enacts a plan to protect himself. He needs new people to help his schemes to work. I don't know what to say about Miles hopefully we get back to him next week.
