Script mistake? Two time-lines or one?
Hi everyone!
I don't know if it's a mistake, I'd like think it MUST have sense, but...
I think, and many people think too, that in the island time passes slower than in the rest of the world, isn't it? So, that would be the reason of why Richard Alpert doesn't age, or why Walt is older than he must if he would have stayed in the island, or the time lap in Dan's rocket's clock....
Therefore, I am worried for something: Losties stay in the island since september the 22th, or, the same, the plane crashed about 93 or 94 days ago; in the island, TODAY, is Christmas Eve. But, if the "out-time" passes faster, wouldn't have passed MORE time than 3 months? Wouldn't be, outside, a day of March, May, or even November?
Do you know what I mean? I say, why it's Christmas outside the island? You can think the calender on the boat is false, but in Penny's hous is Christmas too!!
I am very confused about that, any thought????

According to Faraday and the calender on the boat it is 2004.
1) I saw penny. She was hanging out by her christmas tree at home talking to Des on the boat phone. (did you miss this part maybe?)
2) I'm going with craze7 on this one, it took her a long time to answer because they were building tension.

The plane crashed September 22 2004. The day count at lostpedia says they have been on the island for 96 days. To my count this would place the date on the island smack dab on Christmas Day. ( or 1 days difference depending on if you count the day the plane crashed as an island day) The calendar on the boat was marked down to the 23rd of December. So if there is any time difference the island is moving faster, but took three months to accumulate 2 days worth of time on the island.

Right! Take that into consideration and it probably all fits! Thank you Hazzard! I am really bad at math, can any one figure out how many seconds a day it would take to gather 24 to 48 hours over the 96 days they have been on the island?
