I wonder if the different headings get you off the island at different time periods. Or was that the heading that would get Michael via boat to the freighter that Ben knew was coming. Michael would have thought it was a sure rescue until he gets on board and finds out the freighter is heading back to the island.

"Curses!!! Won't we ever get off this crazy island" are examples of things Michael may exclaim in said predicament.

Interesting point. Maybe Miles was communicating the bearing where the boat will be in a week, so that Ben can meet him there...3.2 million dollars meaning, leave the island on a bearing of 320...

Desmond's Brother - that's what I was wondering! A code that will enable Ben to intercept the boat. (Is there still a submarine? There was always speculation that Locke did/didn't blow it up!) I think Ben would do anything to protect the island, and from the conversation in last year's season finale - he takes the freighter and it's people very seriously. He does NOT want those people to find the island.

Exactly! I was only thinking of the submarine for stealth purposes - but you are absolutely right! And there was a trawler the Others used when Jack was at the Hydra.

I'm not sure Locke really did blow up the sub...personally, I think he didn't. But, either way, the Others still have ways to commute to and from Hydra island other than little raft's like Karl's.

I think ben knows much more about the island than anyone else, I think Faraday's barings were close but not perfect and that could be why people are having these side effects. I think bens barings are dead on

Zed- I agree. Ben seems to be the most knowledgable about the Island and he is extremely smart. Richard might know a lot as well, but that is still unknown...
Does anyone know/remember what bearing Daniel asked the rocket to be sent to him on? Or did we never know that?
