Did anyone catch that during the auction in the backgroun when Desmond was talking to Penny's father, the auctioneer says something like "...was found in Charles Dicken's possession when he died."? I'm guessing it was the manuscript for _Our Mutual Friend_, the Dickens book Desmond was saving as the last thing to read before his death. Cute.

They were auctioning off the travel log (don't know the right word) of the Black Rock and...something else that was in the possession of Charles Dickens. I was just speculating at what that might be.
