Miles has to be Ben's man. That is just like him to demand more money.

And that's why he kept saying to Ben so urgently "Do you know who I am?? Do you know who I am??" Like, do you know that I'm your guy on the boat? Pay attention because I'm not really asking you for money, I'm giving you a code.

if it turns out that it's not a code and miles isn't the man, then i agree with queen bee, it's 3.2 mil for a specific reason. there is something he needs/wants and he needs exactly 3.2 to get it.

LOVE IT. I knew the ammount of money meant something. I'd be surprised if it didn't.

I think Ben is going to have more than one man on the boat, he always seems to have a plan b,c,d, etc... I think Michael and Miles could be his men on the boat, to be prepared for a situation just like Miles has now created.

forgot about michael, I bet after michael made it back to civilization, ben contacted him as a possible recruit.

Here's something interesting I just found in the transcripts:

MILES: Then you know he's put a lot of time and energy into finding you. So now I've found you. And I can tell him exactly where you are. Or I can lie, and tell him you were already dead. I can do that, for 3.2 million dollars.

BEN: You've arranged this meeting so you could blackmail me?

MILES: (his lips move silently for a moment) It's extortion if you want to get technical.

That is what Miles seems to do whenever he is "talking to" or "listening for" ghosts. Is someone telling him what to ask for? How much to ask for? Can Miles hear the Whispers that were all the rage in season one?

What if it is a code from Miles to Ben? perhaps $3.2 million means something else, an event that is going to happen.

Miles then said he needed it in 2 days, Ben said no, Miles changed it to a week. So Miles has given Ben information about something that must, or will happen in a weeks time?

My thoughts exactly... I completely agree about the code. I think Miles was passing along information to Ben. Ben would have rather had Miles tell him something else, "why not 3.3 or 3.4...?". Something is going to happen in a week...what it is remains to be seen!

I like the idea of the code because the conversation after the 3.2 mention Miles gives Ben 2 days (how long have Desmond and Sayid been gone?). Ben tells him his present situation is a bit constraining and Miles tells him okay,okay you have one week. There is something more going on here. I wonder if the numbers 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 2, 7 will be something.
