Well sorta I guess. If you live on a island governed by a bald ex-paraplegic and overbearing know it all spinal surgeon then yeah Kate can have custody of Aaron. But back in America or Australia for that matter I think the laws are a little different regarding custody of orphaned children.

Seems likely to me that whatever the official lie that the world was told when the Oceanic 6 got off the island it included Kate having a baby. I mean they powers that be still put her on trial for murder and everything. Why if they thought the baby wasn't hers would anyone give her custody of it?
Of course those same PTB's would do a parternity test you'd think so.....

I was thinking that there must be something really bad that happens when Claire gets it because of the way Jack reacted to Kate's suggestion to seeing Aaron. But I wonder if, as part of the survival story, they are passing Aaron off as Kate's biological child (regardless of who these 8 people are). We still don't know what the "Oceanic 6" refers to. It may not indicated the number of people off the island, just those given recognition.

yes, but it depends on when they actually get off the island. if they get off soon...well, how is kate going to explain a biological child in that short of a time? claire was, what, 8 months pregnant at the crash? kate certainly wasn't in the same condition...

yeah but don't forget about the weird time differences between on island and off island.

A year or more may have passed off the island compared to the time that has passed for the losties on the island.

I'm confused, have i mised something? Arn't Saeid and Ben survivors to? from episode 3?

So far we know about Sayid, Kate, Jack, and Hurley. (and Aaron but I don't think he would count as one of the six)

Ben was never on the plane...so he isn't a survivor of the plane crash.

He most likely had his own way of getting off of the island.

In regards to Aaron being one of the six, at the end of last episode's preview of this week they said that we would meet another one of the Oceanic 6 and unless I missed something he was the only other person that we saw that was from the island.
I agree with you about Ben though, he wouldn't be considered one of the Oceanic 6.

Desmond can't die, in his episode you see him in the future.
He also wasn't part of Oceanic 815, so he wouldn't be in the 8 listed, or 6 survivors.
