I'm not convinced that Kate was given the opportunity to come back. Sayid gave Kate to Locke - not Miles - in exchange for Charlotte. Locke already had Miles under his control (at gunpoint) and he wasn't Sayid's to give up. Kate on the other hand is one of them - a Lostie. There are unspoken rules when dealing with Losties and essentially Sayid says, go ahead and keep her for now. Of course, he knows when he gets back that Jack will go after her. Is this also a part of the exchange? Perhaps. Jack going back for Kate may also be the time that Hurley jumps ship too. We'll see. All I know is that I'm loving this season.

I'm not convinced Jack will go back for Kate. At least for now she chose Sawyer over Jack. Jack wants to beat Sawyer at many things (poker, ping pong, whathaveyou), but he wants Kate to choose him (Jack) on her own without his intervention. That's the only way he'll ever know that she is certain in her decision and that he really did beat out Sawyer fair and square.

I agree with you. We need to wait until Thursday to watch Eggtown to decide whether Kate will pissed us off, I sure hope not..

I think that Kate chose not to go back with Sayid because she has unfinished business in Othersville. She has to say good bye properly to Sawyer. In the end, she may be attracted to Sawyer, but he's not the guy for her. Think about it, if Jack were completely out of the picture, do you see Kate being happy? I don't. I think she knows that she SHOULD be with Jack.

...I can just imagine sawyer's reaction.
