What about the picture of Desmond and Penny? That photo wasn't taken on a personal camera, it was some dude on the street who gave it to them right then and there. I was under the impression that there was only one of those pictures, and Desmond had it with him on the island. How did Naomi have the same picture?

Obviously this can be explained by simply saying Desmond and Penny made copies of it but I think there is more to it. Since they decided the end date of the show the producers have been saying that there will be clues all along that reveal what was happening. I think these pictures, and how certain people got them, are one of the clues.

We talked a lot about this in season two, it think. But I am with you, I thought there was only one picture taken on the street! Here is another thing... at the end of season two when Penny gets the call from the Arctic Station about getting a signal, Penny has that picture on her nightstand. How is that possible? And why would Naomi be looking for him anyway? Penny didn't send Naomi. Who would want Desmond found (and possibly killed?)? Her father?

Ben has obviously been off the island so I assume the picture was taken off the island by one of the 'bad guys'.

Agreed, There is no getting around the fact that Ben has been off the island after this episode. How much he has been off is the only thing in question in my mind. Does he come and go with ease? The multiple passports and money that was found in his barracks would indicate that he frequently leaves.

He frequently leaves and is a world traveler. I wonder why he needs so many different passports and types of currency... or do you think those were other people's passports too? Other Others, like Richard? What could he possibly be doing in the real world?

I think if we could really see all the passports we would find they are for different identities created for Ben.... all for different time periods.

Isn't Ben wearing the same shirt in his passport photo as he is in Miles' photo?
