Rating for "The Economist" - Page 2

5 stars for me. This episode was amazing. My mind is spinning and it feels as if the story is really lining up to take us for a heck of a ride.

Not to be in any way rude or annoying but I don't think the fact your mind is spinning really means its 5 stars?

Wasn't the flashfoward boring besides the beginning and end of it? I think quite a bit happend but I really was annoying with the Flashfoward. The end of course was good.

I guess I am not sure why you would want to pick my level of like or dislike of the episode apart. I could have gone into much greater detail about why I liked it other than that it made my mind spin. I didnt think that was necessary and was just being simplistic. I guess I like a show that makes me think. I like the fact that I cannot guess every next move that is going to happen next week by any given character. That makes it interesting to me. I hope that is satisfactory enough for you.

By the way, I completely respect your opinion that it was a 4 star rather than 5 for the ever so many reasons you gave in your comment. Call me crazy, I think everyone has their own personal reasons that the episodes are ranked in their own mind and don't feel threatend at all by that.

I apologize if my post felt like a uncomortable, awkward, invasion of personal opinion. It is my deep sorrow to ever become somebody who uncomfotably and awkwardly invades peoples opinions.

I was just having a very unheated very minor debate to allow you to personally decide if you'd like to go through a window of deciding if you want to rethink the episode again and if it is one of the best LOST episodes ever.

But in a very kind yet not too kind way I think you and your friends may be (with all due respect) making me change my mind about this episode. Therefore I may (With all due respect) change my rating to 5 stars.

good twists in the story and everything, but I'm not crazy about this one.

I have no problem at all with minor debate, especially about Lost. I guess I was just caught off guard by the manner and place. I personally do not rethink whether I initially enjoyed an episode or not. I like to go with my first gut reaction. That doesn't mean I do not mull it over and rethink things revealed. I can't help but do that, it drives my family insane. I just think what makes an episode a 5 for me personally, may make it a 3 or 4 for you. I like to be puzzled, and kept guessing ....to me it is entertaining. For some it is frustrating.

I personally did not see Sayid being one of the Oceanic 6. My gut instinct was that he would not retreat from the war on the island. I felt if there was a war there he would be in the middle of it fighting for his friends. So, to me the episode was a complete surprise in the fact that he was one of the six. Yet my thoughts about him being in the middle of the island war were confirmed, as he was still fighting for his friends. (at least that is what I got out of it) He was just doing it differently than I ever imagined. I like that about this show, it keeps me guessing what will happen next and I still haven't figured out if Ben is what we would classify as "good" or "bad". I only know that I really like his character and am pretty sure that if he is bad... then he is a necessary evil for the greater good.
